Description :	L'autel de la Vierge est surmonté d'un retable dont le fronton, en forme de plein-cintre est orné de 3 têtes d'angelots inscrites dans une gloire. De chaque côté du retable est un pilastre orné, en guise de chapiteau, d'une console aplatie, en forme de volutes et surmontée d'un fleuron. Ces sculptures ne sont pas sans rappeler celles des boiseries et des piliers. La statue de la Vierge à l'Enfant qui orne la niche centrale du retable, est en bois, très repeint.

Historique :	En 1740, arrive à Asquins, un prêtre entreprenant qui effectuera, pendant les 51 ans de son ministère, de nombreux travaux dont l'essentiel subsiste aujourd'hui. Toutes les boiseries forment un tout, posé à une époque précise par une personnalité qui a marqué son temps. L'ensemble a été repeint et redoré en 1830.
