Précision sur l'inscription :	Inscription : NISCOSPERSVS HOMO FVERIT BAPTISMATIS VNDA CELICA NON POTERIT REGNARE, transcriptible par Nisi cospersus homo fuerit baptismatis unda coelica, non poterit regnare, traduisible par Un homme, s'il n'a pas été lavé par l'eau céleste du baptême, ne pourra pas rêgner (au-dessus des petites noches cintrées du pied, gravée et rehaussée de noir). Armoiries : d'argent à cinq fusées de sable en bande, armoiries de Gabrielle Gouffier, morte en 1581. Armoiries : de gueules à trois croissants d'or, deux et un, armoiries de Claude des Essarts (1500-1555), mari de Gabrielle Gouffier. Date : 1560 (reproduite à deux reprises au niveau de l'inscription).
