Historique :	Alexandre Dethou (1819-1896), propriétaire du château de Bléneau, fut maire de la commune à 29 ans. Il contribue à développer les idées républicaines, en faveur notamment de l'instruction publique et fonde dans sa commune un collège, qui sera reconstruit en 1970. C'était un ami de Paul Bert. Ce buste s'inscrit dans le cadre des réalisations de Cadoux à Bléneaux, où il travaillera également pour le décor de l'église.
