Précision sur l'inscription :	Inscriptions à l'encre sur les fanons : d'un côté, Mgr Jean Joseph Marie Victoire de Cosnac Archevêque de Sens mort le 24 Octobre 1843 ; de l'autre, Inhumé dans le caveau des archevêques de Sens.
Précision_sur la protection :	Objet classé par arrêté du 28 février 1896, modifié par l'arrêté du 26 septembre 1903 (référence à l'inventaire de 1885 changée pour celle de celui de 1897).
Précision_sur la representation :	Sur un fond de drap rouge, le corps de la mitre est décoré d'un bouquet de fleurs ceint d'une couronne d'épis de blé, le tout bordé d'une guirlande de pampres. Les fanons portent un décor analogue et des franges aux extrémités.
